🍂 What Makes Fall in Annapolis So Special?
On the Water, One Last Time
Boat show season closes out the year on the water—the Annapolis Powerboat Show (October 8–11) and the Annapolis Sailboat Show (October 15–18) fill City Dock before things quiet down for winter. It’s some of the best people-watching all year.
Downtown Gets Dressed Up
Between the Great Annapolis Pumpkins popping up downtown all month long and porches lined with mums and gourds, historic Annapolis is even more delightful with a flannel on. Pop into a shop, grab a cider, and wander the brick-lined streets.
Festivals & Fall Weekends
The Maryland Renaissance Festival runs weekends through October 25, the Scarecrow Stroll takes over in late October, and Navy Football fills the stadium every Saturday this fall. There’s always a reason to be outside.
Family Fall Days
This is pumpkin patch season—think hayrides, corn mazes, and pony rides at farms like Knightingale Farm, Homestead Gardens, and the Maryland Corn Maze at Sunrise Farm. Pair it with a petting farm visit or a storybook hayride, and you’ve got a full weekend of fall memories.
Local Flavor, Cozy Edition
Fall is peak latte season around here. Pumpkin spice, maple french toast, cardamom vanilla cinnamon—grab one from Bean Rush Cafe, Red Bean Cafe, or Oscars in Eastport and enjoy it somewhere with a view.
